Since version 1.4 Twimbow integrates Klout, so you can easily check anyone’s klout score from the profile browser on Twimbow.
In a nutshell, the Klout Score is a widely recognized way to measure someone’s influence accross multiple social networks, in a scale of 1 to 100. It tries to give answer to the question: how influential are you? Short version: if your messages get shared/retweeted by someone in your network who has a high Klout score, those are more likely to be read / re-shared.
Klout takes into account various parameters, all related to how you use the social networks you are in and how much your friends/followers listen to you. To give you an idea on what we are talking about, here is Justin Bieber‘s Klout score:
A score of 99.68 is VERY high and it means that if he tweets something, the content of that tweet is gonna be retweeted thousands of times. Very high scores are in the range of 70-100, while scores in the range 50-70 are pretty good, too.
In their own words:
The Klout Score measures influence based on your ability to drive action. Every time you create content or engage you influence others. The Klout Score uses data from social networks in order to measure:
- True Reach: How many people you influence
- Amplification: How much you influence them
- Network Impact: The influence of your network
